Me.

So you came here to find out who I am, right? Well let's see what I can tell you...

My name is Patricia and I'm in my 30's. I've lived in Florida all my life. Born in St. Lucie county, raised in Palm Beach county. When I was 24, I moved to Lee county and in 2014 at the age of 31 I moved to Charlotte county. 

I went to Palm Beach Community College and earned 2 associate degrees. 1 is an AA and the other is an AS in Crime Scene Technology. I moved to Fort Myers to go to FGCU to earn my bachelors degree in Forensic Science but I haven't finished yet. One day though. 

When I moved, it was just me and my cat. But I'm not by myself now. Along the way I met J (I just call him that on my blog for his privacy though he says I could use his name) and now we're engaged. We became engaged on Valentine's Day 2012.

And that's when the obsession with nail polish began. I've always loved nail polish but the most I had at any given time was about 20. I also would throw them away if they dried up or I didn't like the color. Not anymore. Now I know about nail polish thinner and I save even the ugly colors because I think one day I'll use it for nail art. But in 2012 I started following nail polish/art blogs and was hunting for blue nail polishes to show off my engagement ring. Then I had to have all the colors! I always loved blue nail polish so it was perfect that the engagement ring J picked out had sapphires in it. 

Now I have over 400 bottles of nail polish. Lol. 

But I don't just obsess over nail polish. I have other things I love too. Books and photography are my other big loves. I love reading and holding a book is much better than holding a kindle (though I do love my iPad lol) and I'm always buying new books. I love taking photos of everything. People, nature, abandoned buildings and all the random things in between. I also prefer to hang up all my photos instead of having art pieces. To me, I'd rather look at all the people I love and all the places I've been than to look at one piece of art that cost a lot of money. To me, photography IS art. 

I have a different cat now than the one I moved with when I was 24 but I still have a cat. And a dog now. And there were 4 other cats inbetween the first and current cat. I had Binx from 2007-2012, Milo was J's from 2005-2012 and mine Beatlejuice was 2009-2013. We miss our boys so much. Our 5th cat was "Garbage Cat" and he went to go live with J's grandparents in 2012. He only lived with us for 5 months. He was a stray I brought him. 

That's about it I suppose. I also ramble a lot. =) 

Oh and this blog might be "new" (I think it's 2 years old now) but I've been blogging since 2001 on LiveJournal. In fact I still use LJ to this day.

Another thing about me is that I have insomnia, fibromyalgia and hypermobility syndrome and I talk about these things once in a while, but I don't focus on these things too much. I try to just keep it fun here. Nail polish and animal pictures aren't very serious topics and are a lot more fun to write about than writing about my medical problems. But if I had a bad day, there might be a post about it.
